About us
We are Therese Gasser and Pieter Janse and we have been the proprietors of Solneige since 2010. Together with our daughter Karin (17), Golden Retriever Yara and the cats Minou and Snoes we will give you a warm welcome. You can be assured that we will do our utmost to make your holiday in this wonderful spot a time to remember.
Therese has the Swiss nationality and has worked in the Netherlands for a long time as a civil servant and a managing director. Pieter is Dutch and has many years of experience as a consultant in the field of environment, infrastructure and transport.
When we turned forty five we decided that, however much we enjoyed our work at the time, we also wanted to do other things in life. After some years of searching intensively we found our home in Vaujany: a place where we can put into practice what we want to do, which is to have people enjoy themselves in our own chambres d’hotes.
Our other daughters, Yvonne (21) and Marion (19) live and study in the Netherlands. They will join us on a regular basis during their holidays. Karin goes to school in Vizille, near Grenoble, and lives with us in the private chalet a few steps away from Solneige.
